Huddle Rating Decoded

What is a Huddle Rating?

Huddle Ratings are formulated based on an algorithm that takes into account the Top 10 Attributes By Position – top 10 indicators of next level success at each position.

After a thorough game film evaluation, Huddle Ratings are assigned by our expert talent assessors – Scouts that played the prospects’ position at the Division 1 level.

Huddle Ratings of 70 or above qualify prospects to become Huddle Prospects and to receive endorsements to college football programs that match their Huddle Rating and playing style.

Huddle Rating Scale

All-American Prospect: 90+
Power Five Prospect: 80-89
FBS Prospect: 70-79
FCS Prospect: 60-69
D2/D3 Prospect: 50-59

Top 10 Attributes By Position

The top 10 attributes that our Scouts use to evaluate prospects were determined by coaches and former players in a collaborative effort to accurately predict next level success for prospects by position. Attributes are listed below in order of their impact – most-to-least – on the algorithm used to calculate a prospect’s Huddle Rating. Because some attributes are difficult to evaluate (e.g. instincts, toughness), they don’t factor into the algorithm as much as they may impact and indicate next level success.
